Keeping Together X Nature's Trace BETTER TOGETHER Beer Soap
Made in collaboration with Rachel Sloan of Nature’s Trace Co., a micro-farm and small-batch soap producer in Chicago, IL.
This incredible soap was inspired by the Keeping Together table saison, The Art of Holding Space, and made with Keeping Together’s beer Watching the Mind Watching the Body, a saison with Michigan Pear, Chaat Masala, and Honey.
The Keeping Together beer was blended with gold mica glitter (a natural skincare ingredient) and can be seen as delicate apricot-colored swirls with a beautiful golden shimmer throughout the bars.
Lemongrass essential oils were added for bright lemon notes on the nose, amplifying the aromas from the beer and resulting in a lovely citrus-forward soap softened with sweeter notes of honey and pear. The combination of beer and high-quality oils create a soap that produces a rich and luxurious lather.
The tops of the soap were molded to mimic furrows in the ground, to celebrate Sugar Creek Malt, in Lebanon, Indiana. The bars are garnished with a dehydrated and ground blend of hops, spirulina, and KT beer, and finished with kernels of malted oats from Sugar Creek Malt.
